# Account Balance & Transparent Fees

> See exactly what you've earned and what's left to pay out — no hidden fees, tax handled for you

Every sale runs through Macropay as your Merchant of Record, so the money that lands in your balance is already clean: tax has been set aside for remittance, our fee has been deducted, and what remains is genuinely yours to withdraw. No surprise line items, no end-of-quarter tax reconciliation.

Open the **Finance** page to view your available-for-payout balance at any moment.

## How your balance is calculated

Your balance is gross earnings minus two deductions that happen automatically on every transaction:

| Deduction           | What it covers                                                                                                                                                        |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Sales tax / VAT** | Collected at checkout and held for worldwide remittance. As MoR, we file and pay it — so your balance always **excludes tax**. |
| **Macropay fee** | 4.5% + 50¢ per transaction (+1.5% on non-US cards, +0.5% on subscriptions). That single fee is the seller-of-record service: tax, PCI, and dispute handling included. |

Every historic transaction is listed in chronological order with its associated fees broken out, so you can trace any figure on your balance back to the order that produced it.

<Note>
  Chargebacks and disputes are billed at a flat **\$30 each**, regardless of how they resolve. These appear as line items on the relevant transaction, not as a separate fee category.
</Note>

<Info>
  Pass-through banking fees — typically only on international SWIFT wires — are deducted at [payout time](/features/finance/payouts), not from your balance. ACH (US) and SEPA (EU) payouts are free.
</Info>

## Multi-currency orders settle to USD

Customers can buy in their local currency; your balance stays in one. When an order is placed in a non-USD currency, Macropay converts it to **USD (the settlement currency)** using the exchange rate at the time of the transaction. The converted USD amount is what appears in your balance and what becomes available for payout.

Consolidating to a single settlement currency keeps reconciliation simple: one balance, one payout currency, regardless of where your customers are.

## Zero-decimal currency payouts

Some currencies don't use minor units. For accounts denominated in **Icelandic króna (ISK)**, **Hungarian forint (HUF)**, **New Taiwan dollar (TWD)**, or **Ugandan shilling (UGX)**, payouts are issued in whole units. Any fractional remainder (less than 1 ISK / HUF / TWD / UGX) stays in your balance and rolls into your next payout.

## For AI and agent products

If you bill by usage, activity, or outcome, the same transparency applies. Metered charges, prepaid credit draws, and agent-attributed revenue all flow into the same balance with the same per-transaction fee and tax treatment — and the dashboard surfaces **agentic margin** (billed revenue vs. AI cost) so you can see net contribution per agent, not just top-line earnings. See [payouts](/features/finance/payouts) for moving those funds to your bank.
