New to the MoR model? Start with the
Merchant of Record overview, which covers
how tax, refunds, and chargebacks work at the model level. This page is the
mechanics of getting paid.
The money trail
From a customer’s tap to a deposit in your account, four things happen:1
We charge the customer as the seller of record
A card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay charge runs under Macropay’s own acquirer
relationships. The customer sees Macropay on their statement and
receives a Macropay invoice — your business never appears on the bank line.
2
Funds land in Macropay's bank
Captures settle into Macropay’s account in the currency the customer paid
in. We hold the balance while tax/VAT, refunds, and any disputes are
resolved, so your payout reflects a clean, final number.
3
We wire your share on NET terms
Your earned balance for a calendar month becomes payable on your NET
schedule (NET 30 by default). Macropay originates the transfer from its
own bank over the right rail for your country — ACH in the US, SEPA across
the Eurozone, SWIFT everywhere else.
4
You invoice us back
Since we issued the invoices to your customers, your books need the mirror
image: an invoice from you to Macropay for what we paid out. We generate a
reverse invoice for every
payout, on demand.
Connect your bank account
1
Open Finance → Account
In the dashboard, go to Settings → Finance → Account, or jump straight
to
https://app.macropay.ai/dashboard/<org-slug>/finance/account.2
Select your bank's country
Your country sets the default payout currency and decides which rail — and
which form fields — you’ll use next.
3
Enter your bank details
The form routes you to the correct rail automatically:
Everything is encrypted at rest. Macropay pays out from its own bank, so
your details are never exposed to the card networks or any acquirer.
Payout schedule
Within your term, payouts are merchant-initiated from the
Payouts page — you decide when to pull funds inside
your eligible window. Each currency has a minimum threshold (see the
thresholds table) so a
wire fee never outweighs the payout itself.
What it costs
Macropay charges no payout fee. The only deductions are the bank’s own wire costs, passed through at cost:- ACH (US) — free
- SEPA (Eurozone + UK) — free at most banks; a rare few charge a small flat fee
- SWIFT (international) — 25 depending on corridor and intermediary banks; the exact deduction shows on the payout summary
- Currency conversion — the prevailing bank FX rate, typically a 0.25–1% spread
Reading your payout statement
Every payout sends a confirmation email, and the same view lives under Finance → Payouts → (click any row). Worked example for a EUR payout:
The net wired figure is exactly what hits your account. The matching reverse
invoice is attached for your accounting.
Supported currencies
We collect from customers in 130+ currencies and settle your balance in the currency of your bank account:- USD — any US ACH-eligible account
- EUR — any SEPA-eligible IBAN
- GBP — UK accounts via SEPA-instant or SWIFT
- CHF — via SEPA or SWIFT
- Other supported currencies — wired over SWIFT in your local currency where supported, at the FX rate applied at wire time
FAQ
When does the NET clock start?
When does the NET clock start?
On the last day of the calendar month the sale was captured — not the
month it was billed, if it’s a future-dated subscription. So under NET 30, a
sale captured in March is eligible to pay out from May 1.
Can I get paid into a personal account?
Can I get paid into a personal account?
Individual and sole-proprietor accounts: yes. Business accounts (LLC, Ltd,
GmbH, and so on) need a business bank account in the same legal entity name
as your Macropay organization.
What happens to my balance during an account review?
What happens to my balance during an account review?
Payouts pause during a
continuous review,
but charges keep flowing — your customers notice nothing. Funds accrue in
your balance and release as soon as the review clears, usually within 1–2
business days.
Can payouts run automatically?
Can payouts run automatically?
Not by default — merchant-initiated payouts let you consolidate and amortize
wire fees. If you’d rather set up a recurring auto-payout, reach out and
we’ll configure it.
